Chris Thompson
Chris is the co-founder of Royal Oak Funding and Milo Funding, where he leads day-to-day operations and oversees all financial functions, including accounting, financial planning, tax strategy, and corporate development.
He began his career in International Tax Consulting at Ernst & Young, LLP, advising major corporations such as General Motors, Ford, Caterpillar, and Walmart. He later held senior financial leadership roles at multiple Fortune 100 companies, most recently at Schlumberger, where he managed global tax operations and planning across more than 100 countries.
With over 25 years of experience in global tax, accounting, and financial planning, Chris is known for building high-performing teams and implementing best-in-class strategies that drive financial and tax efficiencies.
In 2020, he transitioned to focus full-time on real estate lending and investment. Since then, he has successfully expanded his portfolio, overseeing more than $40 million in residential and commercial lending.
Chris earned his CPA license in 1996 (now inactive) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in accounting from Bowling Green University.
D’Anna Wade Thompson
D’Anna is a co-founder of She’s F.F.I.R.E!, a community dedicated to empowering women on their journey to financial freedom through real estate. She also partners in the couple’s real estate lending business, leveraging her expertise in communications and operations to support its growth and strategic direction.
In addition, D’Anna manages a portfolio of rental properties in Texas and oversees process improvement initiatives for a collection of hotels and food & beverage outlets in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Before shifting her focus to real estate, D’Anna worked in Corporate Social Responsibility and Communications, leading strategic projects that connected employees to their company’s mission while enhancing public engagement and brand visibility. With nearly a decade of experience in brand strategy and project management, she is known for her ability to develop and execute impactful initiatives that drive engagement and deliver results.
D’Anna holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
